1) JCAHO (Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) Accreditation Awarded to all Medco Health Solutions, Inc. Pharmacies
In December 2003, Medco Health pharmacies earned the coveted JCAHO accreditation.
By achieving this three-year accreditation, Medco Health helps to raise the standard by which all providers of healthcare services will be measured in both principle and the delivery of quality healthcare.

2) J.D. Power and Associates' healthcare division, CareData, presented Medco Health with four coveted customer satisfaction honors
Medco Health was ranked #1 for overall customer satisfaction for the fourth consecutive year by CareData's Commercial Health Plan Member Survey.
The annual survey of more than 17,000 health plan members was conducted in 17 markets throughout the United States and evaluated overall satisfaction with 45 pharmacy benefit managers.

3) Wilson Rx Survey ranks Medco Health No. 1 PBM, Mail Service Pharmacy for third straight year
For the third straight year, Medco Health Solutions has been rated the No. 1 PBM in customer satisfaction in a major national survey.
It's the first time any company in the PBM industry has received the No. 1 ranking in three consecutive years from WilsonRx.

4) Verified Internet Pharmacy Practices Sites (VIPPS) Certification
Medco Health is the first pharmacy benefit manager to receive VIPPS certification from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy for its online pharmacy services.
The VIPPS program provides Internet consumers with vital information on the licensing of certified online pharmacies. Companies awarded the VIPPS seal undergo a rigorous review process that includes a site inspection and 17 pharmacy practice criteria.

5) Yahoo! Internet Life's Seven Most Trusted Medical Websites
On January 14, 2002 medcohealth.com was named as one of the seven most trusted medical websites by Yahoo! Internet Life. The list of chosen sites puts medcohealth.com in good company as it shares the distinction with websites from such notable institutions as The Mayo Clinic and The American Medical Association.
The reviewers cited medcohealth.com for its "easy-to-use search function and good information," as well as its ability to provide valuable information about prescription drugs, including "side effects, cost, and interactions with other drugs." Also cited was its "excellent mental-health content."

6) Medco Health and American Lung Association Partnership
Medco Health and the American Lung Association have formed a partnership to bring the Association's extensive educational resources on respiratory care to the 60 million individuals in Medco Health's patient population.
American Lung Association publications and other proprietary content will be displayed on Medco Health's Internet pharmacy site, and the corporate website will offer information on ALA events.

7) Medco Health and American Liver Foundation Partnership
Medco Health has joined forces with the American Liver Foundation to improve awareness and treatment of hepatitis C in conjunction with Medco Health's Positive Approaches Program™.
The American Liver Foundation will provide the program clinical guidance and expertise on the screening and treatment of hepatitis C, offer certain program participants the chance to join the ALF as patient members, and nominate one of its leading hepatologists to serve on the Medco Health medical advisory board.

8) Medco Health and American College of Gastroenterology Partnership
Medco Health is teaming with the American College of Gastroenterology to improve care for its patients with digestive health conditions and raise awareness of gastrointestinal disease through Medco Health's Digestive Health™ Programs.
An American College of Gastroenterology clinician will serve on the Medco Health medical advisory board, and eligible Medco Health members will have the opportunity to join the ACG Institute and gain access to proprietary ACG materials.

9) American Public Health Association Honors Medco Health
The Gerontological Health Section of the American Public Health Association selected Medco Health's Partners for Healthy Aging Program® for the Archstone Foundation Award Honorable Mention for Excellence in Program Innovation.
The Award was established to identify "best practice" models in the field of aging and health. Emphasis is given to programs that have effectively linked academic theory with applied practice.

10) JAMA Recognizes Medco Health's "Health Management Program"
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association demonstrates that physicians counseled by pharmacists in Medco Health's Partners for Healthy Aging Program® changed prescriptions 24% of the time to prevent potential harm from drugs or drug dosages generally recognized as inappropriate for patients over 65.
The study is based on an analysis of the program started by Medco Health to reduce drug reactions caused by medicines that are unsuitable for senior citizens. The study is the largest population-based analysis of such a program to date.

11) Medco Health Receives the Aesculapius Award
Medco Health was honored with the Aesculapius Award for Innovative Leadership from Managed Healthcare magazine for instituting the most cost-effective disease state management program, specifically for diabetes.
The Aesculapius Awards recognize excellence in disease state management, the study of medicines for aging and formulary acceptance, and acknowledge outstanding medical print advertising.
