Title: Clinical SpecialistPharmacist
Basic Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, enhancement, quality assurance, implementation
and maintenance of new clinical rules for programs
Primary Activities
- Development, enhancement, implementation, integration and maintenance
of new clinical rules
- Participate in cross-functional teams
- Formulate and execute system database queries to analyze, refine,
and test validity of rule criteria and parameters
- Maintenance of clinical rules databases
- Participate in report generation and review for accuracy
- Confirm systems data integrity on a weekly basis as it applies to
all clinical programs as part of the ongoing quality assurance process
Experience Guidelines, Business Competencies, and Leadership Competencies
include:
- B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D. with licensure. Advanced degree helpful
but not required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical practice site or comparable
clinical exposure
- Experience in DUR related programs, health systems communications,
and education preferred
- High professional ethics and standards
- Knowledge of PC functions in the Windows environment required
- Experience in information systems development related to pharmacy
practice helpful but not required
- Must have strong clinical and analytical skills, good organizational
skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects, and strong written
and communication skills
