Health Care & Dental Plans

Medco provides options for comprehensive health care coverage for you and your family. You may choose from a traditional indemnity plan or a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), if one is offered in your location.

Under the Medchoice indemnity plan, employees may elect either individual coverage (for the employee only) or family coverage (for the employee, spouse and dependents). Hospital/Major Medical services are covered at 80% of reasonable and customary charges with a $200 individual deductible, a $400 family deductible, and out-of-pocket caps of $1,800 per individual and $3,600 per family.

Medco's dental plan includes an examination, cleaning and x-ray once every 6 months, covered at 100% using Delta Dental. For other services, there is a $50 deductible. Those services are covered at the following rates:
Fillings, root canal and extractions are covered at 80%.
Crowns, bridgework and dentures are covered at 50%.

These services are covered to $1,500 individual annual maximum. Orthodontia is covered at 50%, up to a $1,000 individual lifetime maximum for children to age 19. Medco offers employees both a traditional physician network, as well as a preferred provider plan, for its dental benefit.
