The Medco Managed Care Pharmacy Practice Residency is an organized, one-year, post-graduate training program that focuses on the development of the knowledge and skills pharmacists need in order to assume leadership roles within a managed care practice setting.

The residency program also has a research component. The results will be presented at a professional pharmacy conference and/or published in a peer-reviewed journal. The completion of research projects will allow the residents to enhance their project planning and development.
Unique Aspects of the Program:
- Residents participate in a daily conference meeting with the Clinical Consultation Service Team, which provides therapeutic advice and drug information to Medco pharmacists
- Exposure to innovative pharmacy models, automation, and information technology
- Exposure to the legislative and regulatory aspects of pharmacy
- Attendance and participation in a National P&T Committee Meeting
- Attendance at national pharmacy conferences
